Autograph Signing

This year the club moved the auction from Wednesday evening, prior to the banquet at the Plaza Hotel to a totally separate event on a separate night. The auction was held at Indigo Golf Club on Tuesday evening, February 10th, and what an amazing star studded evening it turned out to be.

Legends from all over the country turned out to assist the club in this worthwhile endeavor. The race themed ballroom was graced with some of the greatest racing Legends of all time. Just some of the Legends on hand to sign autographs were Johnny Allen, Donnie Allison, Jack Anderson, Jim Bray, Dave Dion, Greg Fielden, Frances Flock, Ray Fox, Dot Gladis, Gene Hobby, James Hylton, Jack Ingram, Ned Jarrett, Flossie Johnson, Ralph Ligori, Mac McDonald, Joe Mihalic, Cotton Owens, Cookie Osterhout, Adam Ragan, David Ragan, Ken Ragan, Hilly Rife, Morgan Shepherd, Yolanda Sheridan, Eddie Spurling, Joe Sukup, Russ Truelove, Linda Vaughn, Bill Wimble, Vickie Wood & Trish Yunick.

Some items auctioned off were:  autographed Glen Wood #21 Team shirts,  1:18 scale die cast Hudson Hornets, autographed Robert Yates piston, several pieces of autographed sheet metal, courtesy of Jack Roush, autographed Ned Jarrett T-shirts, autographed Junior Johnson bottle of Moonshine, Also an autographed picture of the 2008 Chase drivers.  We had race tickets to Atlanta, Daytona, Las Vegas and Atlanta.  A team fire suit from Richard Childress.  Also many gift beautiful gift baskets.

Also, Joe McGovern and Gerry Fox, who helped keep track of the names on the helmet while trying to take pictures all at the same time!  Many thanks to Steve Thomas at BELL RACING for donating the helmet to us year after year.  We were so happy that Steve was able to attend the Auction this year.  Thanks again everyone!
